Tournament
Results
VIP
U18 Block Party Tournament
Jan.
29 - The Sideout U17 team won their pool with a 3-0
record, then won in straight sets in the first two rounds of
bracket play. In the semi-finals, they lost a hard
fought 3 set match to the VIP U18 team. Despite playing
short-handed, the team finished 3rd in the Gold Division and
was the top placing U17 team. Their next tournament is
February 26th in Spokane.
Supernova
Invite U14 Tournament
Jan.
29 - The Sideout U13 and U14 teams each had strong
showings at their first tournament of the year at Rosalia High
School. Both teams won their pools, then won their first
round of bracket play. Unfortunately, they had to face
each other in the semi-finals. Ultimately, the U13s
prevailed in a close 3-set match. The U13s ended up
placing 2nd and the U14s were 3rd. Both teams will be in
action again on February 12th at the Sideout Classic
tournament at the Valley HUB.
U12
Winter Warm-up
Jan.
29 - The Sideout U12 team started their season strong with
a second place finish at the U12 Winter Warm-up tournament at
North Central High School. The U12s will be in action
again on February 11th at the Apex Awareness tournament at
Freeman High School.
Supernova
Invite U16
Jan.
22 - The Sideout U15s had their second consecutive strong
tournament, placing third at the Supernova Invite. Once
again they were the top placer of the U15 teams entered.
The team will be in action again on February 5th at the
Superbowl Slam at the Valley HUB.
MLK
Tournament, Eugene, OR
Jan.
14-16 - The Sideout U17 Team got off to a great start to
the season with a strong showing in the U18 Open Division at
the MLK Tournament at the University of Oregon. Sideout
finished the tournament in 16th place out of 56 teams and 4th
out of all U17 teams. The team will be competing in the
VIP Block Party U18 tournament on January 29 in Spokane.
Tri-Cities
Kickoff
Jan.
15 - The Sideout U15 team had a spectaular start to their
season, finishing 2nd out of 32 teams in the U16 division of
the Tri-Cities Kick-off Classic. The team went 6-1 on
the day, losing only in the championship match to the Spokane
Sky U16 team. The U15s' next tournament will be January
22nd at Rosalia, WA.
